I have decided to do a film opening for my project. I have also decided to be in a group with Rebekah and Maya. Rebekah also has experience in art and enjoys the components that go into making a film. She enjoys writing and understands how to create a compelling scene. Maya is also very artistic, and is very driven and eager to work on a film project. She is also in the drama program at our school, and will be able to work with actors very well. She also is skilled in make up, and will be able to do any make up we will need for our film. I, as I stated in the previous post, am very interested in film. I have experience in writing, art, music, and editing. I believe my strong suits will be in creating the generality of the script (with help from my group to work out the details), story boarding, editing, and music or sound. We all work well together, and I believe that we will provide each other with creative ideas and criticism that will help our project be as well written, shot, and edited as we can.
The plan as of now is to create a Thriller/Action film centered around a super powered protagonist. The intro will likely be in St. Armand's or downtown Sarasota. The idea is that, especially since it is nearing the holidays, there will be a decent amount of people walking around. I hope to film in a crowded environment in order to create a hectic environment to create stress and make it difficult to focus until the camera shows the viewer what to focus on. We have yet to cast characters or create a solid script, but we continue to discuss these and other elements in order to create a suspenseful introduction to the film.
