After presenting our midterm draft and speaking with our teacher, we have figured out which revisions to make that we believe would help the film's flow, clarity, and effect.
The shot where the protagonist has an over-exaggerated reaction as she pretends the robber's punch hurt her was confusing and needed clarification. An idea that came up to help make the point of the take more clear was to add dialogue from the robbery victim before the shot, asking the protagonist if they were ok. This would help the flow as to why to protagonist is over exaggerating a pained reaction. Then we will add an eyeline match from the protagonist looking off screen to the agent character. To help add to our time, we will also add clips establishing the agent is watching the protagonist.
Our group has discussed going as far as refilming the whole intro because of light changing (we filmed as the sun was setting). I believe we will be able to refilm the fist few shots that had daylight in the beginning and the lighting will be fixed. We are also considering getting a new actor for the victim.
I will also want to change some of the sound effects to make them more realistic, and possibly spend more time looking for music that could better fit the scene.
We are having difficulty finding a time when our group, actors, and driver can all get together for refilming.
